The Oriental Healing Arts Institute (OHAI) is a non-profit educational organization affliated with the Brion Research Institute of Taiwan, oneof the most prestigious research institutes for Oriental medicine in Asia. Founded in Los Angeles in 1976 by the late Dr. Hong-yen Hsu, a scholar who devoted four decades to researching the medicinal properties of herbs.

Book and article manuscripts are received from researchers, scholars, and practitioners of Oriental medicine throughout the world, and all manuscripts are subjected to an international peer review committee. By making available English translations of these important works, OHAI seeks to stimulate an interest in and appreciation of Chinese medicine in an audience which might otherwise never be exposed to its principles an practices. In this way, Eastern and Western medical systems may someday cease to be adversaries and begin forming a partnership based on the integration of their knowledge and on their shared vision of improving humanity's well being.
